BIO: Hello!  My name is Tami Hornick, and I live in Middle Tennessee.  About 10 years ago, I first held a bow through attending a NWTF Women in the Outdoors Event.  Within a couple of weeks, I had purchased a bow, with the intention of being able to shoot and hunt with my then 10-year-old little boy.  We spent many hours shooting, hunting and laughing in a blind!   (Those are priceless memories!)

Fast forward 10 years, my little boy grew up, and I found myself with an empty nest.   So I joined an archery league.  That led to competing in tournaments.   This past year of 2016 was my first year to compete in big indoor and 3D tournaments.  It didn’t take but a couple of tournaments for the competitive side of me to take over and I was hooked!   I was thrilled to have been able to win 1st Place at the Regions Championship Pro/Am in Branson, MO.   It’s a lot of hard work, a lot of sweat and sore muscles, a lot of practice and dedication, but when you accomplish your goals, it’s more than worth it!

THINGS YOU LIKED ABOUT REGIONS ARCHERY: After a recommendation from a fellow Bowtech Prostaffer, I made plans to attend the Regions Championship Pro/Am in Brandon, MO.   I loved how friendly Dick Pintcke was when I called and talked to him about attending.

The resort in Branson was a beautiful setting for the shoot, and the ability to just walk from my room to the practice bags, the 3D practice range, as well as the shoot itself was a huge bonus!  Registering onsite was convenient and went very smoothly.  The 3D practice range was accessible at any time, and was set up perfectly to “prep” us for the shoot the following day.  During both days of the actual shoot, we moved along from target to target without any extraordinary long waiting periods.  All the targets were in good shape, and the course was challenging, but not overly difficult for the classes.

I am looking forward to the 2017 schedule coming out and will definitely be attending and shooting more of the Regions Shoots!
